Maria graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a BA in English Language and Literature and a Minor in Media Studies. After graduation, she headed West to work a variety of odd jobs while she played in Wyoming’s mountains and rivers. A year and a half later, she decided to give the writing thing a try and headed north to Montana, which she now calls home.
Over the past five years, Maria has worked as a writer and editor for various publications, as well as an account/project manager and copywriter for two locally based marketing and media firms.
Maria’s passion for writing and storytelling coupled with her marketing knowledge, project management and customer service skills has equipped her with a dual perspective and skill set you’re unlikely to come across.
As a journalist, she knows how to interview people in order to get the answers needed to craft a worthy story. As a marketing expert, she knows how to tell your story in a consistent, compelling manner across a wide range of formats -- from taglines and advertisements, to social media, email campaigns, and websites.
